A causa del prorogarsi della situazione di pandemia causata dal coronavirus COVID-19 e i conseguenti decreti governativi sugli spostamenti e sul distanziamento sociale, il Comitato Permanente è giunto alla decisione che non sia possibile svolgere la Consultazione Metodista secondo le consuete modalità.
Pertanto, il C.P. OPCEMI, come è preannunciato nella Circolare OPCEMI di Pasqua, ha deciso di svolgere la Consultazione Metodista, in via telematica, domenica, 24 maggio 2020, giornata che ricorda la cosiddetta “conversione” di John Wesley.
I lavori si svolgeranno secondo questo programma: la mattina a partire dalle ore 9:30 vi sarà, dopo un momento di preghiera e accoglienza musicale, l’analisi della relazione del C.P. con un breve dibattito su alcune parti specifiche della relazione stessa. In seguito, vi saranno alcuni saluti di rappresentanti istituzionali e la sessione mattutina si concluderà alle ore 12:30. I lavori riprenderanno alle ore 14:30 con brevi comunicazioni da parte del C.P., per poi proseguire alle ore 15:00 con il Culto di Rinnovamento del Patto.
Proprio in un momento così complesso e difficile sarà importante la partecipazione cospicua di sorelle e fratelli delle nostre chiese locali, dei consiglieri e degli iscritti a ruolo impegnati in chiese metodiste, di direttori/trici e membri dei comitati delle nostre opere per condividere riflessioni, per tracciare possibili prospettive future, per condividere la Parola e lo spirito di comunione al quale il Signore ci chiama.
Pertanto, il CP chiede ai consigli di chiesa di diffondere la notizia della convocazione in via telematica ai membri di chiesa così che questi possano chiedere di essere iscritti a partecipare alla Consultazione, scrivendo all’email metodismo@chiesavaldese.org .
La relazione del Comitato Permanente verrà inviata come di consueto a chi di diritto entro il 15 maggio p.v.
In prossimità del 24 maggio p.v., vi verrà inviato un link, via mail, per poter entrare nella piattaforma con la quale ci ritroveremo per la Consultazione Metodista.

Due to the extension of the lockdown to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the subsequent governmental decrees on travel and social distancing, the Standing Committee has decided not to go ahead with the Methodist Consultation (“Consultazione Metodista”) in its usual form.
However, we have the meeting digitally and thus the Methodist Consultation will happen electronically, on Sunday, 24th of May 2020, the day on which we remember John Wesley’s conversion.
The program will be as follows: In the morning, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Prayer and Musical Praise followed by an analysis of the report of the Standing Committee with a brief debate on some specific parts of the report. This session will be concluded by greetings from the representatives of various institutions. At 2:30 pm There will be a brief communication from the Standing Committee, followed by our Covenant Renewal Service at 3:00pm.
In such a complex and difficult times, the participation of sisters and brothers from all our churches, including members of the church councils, church workers, directors and members of the various committees that constitute our work will be important so that we can share reflections on the past and identify our plans for the future so that we can share the Word and witness to the spirit of communion to which the Lord calls us all.
Therefore, the Standing Committee requests church councils to spread the news of the convocation electronically to all church members so that they can ask to be registered to participate in the Consultation, by writing an e-mail to this address: metodismo@chiesavaldese.org.
The report of the Standing Committee will be sent as usual to those who are entitled by 15th of May 2020.
Before 24th of May, a link will be sent to you via e-mail to enter the platform with which we will meet for the “Consultazione Metodista”.
